Good communication is, first and for all, one thing: listening to what is being said. But - do we always listen carefully to find out what is really being said or what people really mean? What is the message that lies behind? Can you read between the lines?

Very often, we feel misunderstood. Listening does not only mean to fully understand the content, but to also note the tone of voice, and to interpret gestures and mimics of the speaker. We talk about "tuning in” to the other person.
